Flag Ceremony for Veterans at New Haven Cemetery
May 14, 2024
After much coordination and collaboration, we met with the Hillhouse JROTC Reboots Camp High School Cadet students at 2:15pm at the Westville Cemetery on Tuesday, May 14th for this patriotic project.
We placed over 100 U.S. Flags at the graves of Veterans at the Westville Cemetery located at Blake Street (near Osborne Ave) in New Haven. This is the same location where we participated in the Wreaths Across America last year.
The ceremony began with the Pledge Allegiance to The Flag of the United States of America.
This is our first year doing this and we really hope that this new partnership will help us aim to motivate and teach the next generation which are high schoolers to become better citizens. The whole point of this patriotic project is to honor our veterans and most of all, to be better citizens.
